Hospital Discharge Volunteering service

AgeUK Lambeth have a new Hospital Discharge volunteering service and would love your help and time. The role is to support patients transitioning from hospital to home, ensuring their discharge is safe, smooth, and successful. 

Lambeth Holiday Activities and Food

Lambeth's Winter of Food and Fun runs from 23 December to 3 January, supporting families with children aged 4-16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals, offering food and activities during the holiday period.

Lambeth bin collections over the holidays

If you bins are normally collected on a Wednesday - which is Christmas Day and New Years Day this year (2024), then your bin collection days will be on the next day.

Christmas tree collections

Lambeth Council will be collecting real Christmas trees for free. They can be put out for collection from 6 January 2025. 

Want to host a Play Street?

A play street is where neighbours agree together to close their road temporarily but regularly to through traffic – so that children can play while adults get to know each other better. You can make it happen on your street. 

Help St Lukes host their homeless guests this winter

Every Winter, St Luke’s Church in West Norwood opens its doors to a small group of people who have no permanent place to live. They are invited to come into a warm room, eat a meal, stay the night and have breakfast in the morning.
